2009 Porsche 911 S at Hendrick Porsche

The much anticipated wait is now over! Available for you to see and drive are two models of Porsche's flagship automobile, the legendary 2009 Porsche 911 Carrera S. We have the cabriolet (pictured above) as well as the coupe available. Both models feature the new PDK (Porsche Doppelkupplung) transmission. PDK has distinct benefits. The very rapid gearshifts, with no interruption in the flow of power, produce faster acceleration. Driving feels even sportier and more dynamic, and agility is increased. Depending on the gearshift program, the gear change is optimized for comfort or for sporty handling. With the optional Sport Chrono Package Plus, PDK is enhanced by the Launch Control and motorsport-derived gearshift strategy functions. They come standard with direct fuel injection which delivers 385 hp and 310 lb/ft of torgue. The available 911 S cabriolet is the beautiful Aqua Blue Metallic (pictured above) over Stone Grey Leather interior with a black top. The 911 S Coupe is Porsche Racing Green Metallic over Sand Beige Leather interior. The features and options are too numerous to list. The NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series expands to 24 events this year with the addition of this race, which holds a crucial spot on the schedule as the first event of the Countdown to 1. The 10 teams in each category that qualified for this final leg of the championship battle will be looking for strong opening statements to kick off their final pushes for NHRA POWERade glory.
How to Get There: zMax Dragway @ Concord is across Highway 29 from Lowe's Motor Speedway in Concord, 12 miles north of downtown Charlotte. Take Exit 49 off I-85, and the dragway's main entrance is off Bruton Smith Boulevard.
